Still Waiting

Some friends of ours, Stu and Felicia, adopted a little girl from China about 2 years ago. We got an email from Felicia today and she said she has been hearing of a few couples getting their matches who have log-in dates around ours. She said she felt driven to call. Hopefully it's a sign of good things to come. Until that time. we continue on our daily journey. Work and school for me, school for Matthew and Volunteer of the Year for Karen. I bet if she clocked her hours spent at Matthew's school, she is there more than most of the teachers. She should be getting paid, but i guess that goes against the whole volunteer thing huh.
The first few days of May around here are some of the most exciting in the world. That's right, I'm talking about Matthew's birthday on the 3rd. Hard to believe he will be 8 this year. Oh yeah, there is some kind of horse race or something.
So, anyhow, nothing new, just keeping in the flow. Until next time, yippee-ki-yea ............

Who's Jenna? First things first

before we can answer the question of who's Jenna, we first have to address who's Lacey? Lacey Nicole was born on November 19, 2003. she was diagnosed at birth with a unique chromosome disorder. with a count of 15 doctors and therapist, Lacey held on for about 15 months before she joined our Lord God in heaven. Truly an angel!! so after determining that Lacey's chromosome disorder was caused by a parental hand me down from your's truly, a leading genetics doctor told us we had about a 5% chance of having a healthy child of our own (Matthew the miracle another day). so after countless discussions we decided to adopt. we felt a calling to adopt international so we decided upon a girl from China. we started the process in April 2006, we are still waiting. we decided in November 2007 to adopt a child with special needs. we figured with the many medical challenges Lacey had, we can handle it. so now we wait for the day our agency calls and tells us Jenna is ready to come home. we are very excited and hope you will join us on our journey. thanks, skmj
